Globe Education has an ever increasing student body at Shakespeare’s Globe at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels. Students on Globe Education Courses have the opportunity to use the Globe Theatre space as a unique resource to develop core skills as they embark upon a journey to discover the architectural conditions in which Shakespeare’s plays were originally produced.
In addition, the active and growing area of Research in Globe Education aims to share the discoveries made in Globe performance practice, audience response and theatrical space by postgraduates and researchers, in collaboration with the theatre companies. A growing research centre, Globe Education also facilitates and produces current research into Globe theatre practice, theatre history and architecture, Shakespearean stagecraft, and early modern cultural history. In addition to a growing publication profile, Globe Education runs a series of research seminars, conferences and practical experiments that showcase and develop this research into Shakespearean drama.
