Shakespeare's Globe

Conceived in 1989 by Theo Crosby the Bankside gates were commissioned by Richard Quinnell, and forged by Brian Russell. It features 125 motifs representing flora and fauna in Shakespeare’s plays and poems. It was made by 130 professionals and amateur student blacksmiths from twelve countries.
